We expect to see your dog in a normal everyday condition in so far that you regularly groom your dog at home and is free of matted fur, if this is not the case then unfortunately the groom will take longer and incur an additional fee which we will discuss before you leave.
We fully understand that life is never simple and there will be times when you cannot attend or simply are running late, please contact us as soon as you can, we will endeavour to resolve the problem.
We are required by law to comply with Section 5 of the Animal Welfare Act (2007), which states that “all animals are to be protected from pain, injury, suffering and disease”, this primarily refers to a dog that has heavy matting, this can cause a dog significant pain and discomfort if you simply attempt to brush them out so we will advise you that clipping or removal of the matted fur is advisable. We will require your permission to do this.
Please advise us if your dog has a particular problem, a simple discussion will sort most issues, however we reserve the right not to complete the groom if your dog is aggressive and threatening. Before you arrive please ensure that your dog has had an adequate chance to relieve itself before you come to the studio. This really will help your dog. A short walk would be of benefit.
We will check for fleas during the pre-groom consultation and will advise you if your dog needs to be treated. Any dogs found to have fleas will go straight into a flea bath with special shampoo to remove them. The studio will also need to be treated to avoid cross contamination therefore we will make a charge of £6 per dog to cover the extra costs involved. You will be advised to treat your dog and your home environment to eradicate the problem.
We can accept cash payments and bank transfers
